Notice is hereby given that the Board of Finance of the Town of Stonington will hold a Public Hearing in the Stonington High School auditorium, 176 S. Broad St., Stonington on
Wednesday April 8, 2009
at 7:30 p.m.
for the following purpose:
To present the itemized estimates of expenditures of the Town for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 as recommended by the Board of Finance and to hear the citizens of the Town in regard to any appropriation which they are desirous that the Board recommend or reject. Copies of the budget, as recommended, are available at Town Hall. A summary of that recommended budget is as follows:

Dept. of Planning & Land Use $ 325,710
Dept. of Public Works $ 6,092,957

Board of Education $ 30,781,257
Schedule C: Land, Bldg., Improvements & Equipment $ 459,036
TOTAL RECOMMENDATION $ 53,537,489
Based upon the above recommendation the estimated level of taxation for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 is at 15.10 Mils.
